How Find Washroom earns trust.
A useful washroom finder has to show more than pins. This page explains who maintains the site, which sources are used, how records are checked, and where the limits are. Most listed locations have not been inspected in person; source labels and uncertainty notices are therefore part of the product, not fine print.

Purpose and coverage
Find Washroom answers one practical question: where is the nearest usable public bathroom, restroom, washroom or toilet? This build includes 700 city and destination guides in Italy, 700 in Germany, 700 in France, 260 in Canada, 1,696 in the United States, 490 in the United Kingdom and 200 in Ireland, available through 11 language interfaces.
The core finder runs in a normal mobile or desktop browser. It sorts nearby covered locations on the device and hands the selected destination to Google Maps for directions.
Where the location data comes from
Public-source records come from government open-data portals, official municipal or agency facility pages, and other named public authorities. Community-mapped records and customer-only candidates use OpenStreetMap-derived data and are kept in separate evidence classes.
Every city guide identifies its sources and the date each source was checked. Official-government, community-mapped and customer-only records are labelled differently so a merchant possibility is never presented as guaranteed public access.
How records are built and checked
Source fields are normalized into a shared format for names, addresses, coordinates, hours and accessibility. Duplicate records are consolidated, and records clearly outside a documented city or destination boundary are excluded. Automated validation checks each generated language version, source class, card identifier and map destination before deployment.

Hours and wheelchair-accessibility policy
In this build, 38,594 locations have source-listed hours and 32,691 have source-listed accessibility information.
Missing information is never converted into a guess. The card instead tells the visitor to check the official site, posted signs, the location or staff. For customer-only venues, venue hours or wheelchair details are explicitly described as venue information that may not apply to the washroom itself.
Corrections and updates
Use Report incorrect information for a wrong location, closure, hours, accessibility detail or missing public facility. Include the page, location name, what is wrong and, when available, an official supporting link. Reviews can still warn other visitors, but they do not replace a correction report.
Reports enter a private review queue. The publisher compares the report with the named source, prioritizes safety and access errors, updates the record or source classification when evidence supports it, and republishes only after the affected pages pass validation. The sign on the door and staff on site remain the final authority.
Who publishes Find Washroom
Find Washroom is an independently operated web project based in Canada. OrbitAI is the publishing name used for this project; it is not presented as a registered company, government agency or public authority. OrbitAI is editorially responsible for source selection, evidence labels, automated validation, corrections and published copy.
The project is not operated by or affiliated with any city, transit agency, park authority, OpenStreetMap, Google or merchant shown in results. Advertising helps keep the finder free but does not control source labels, inclusion rules or distance order. Use the correction form to contact the editorial queue about a location record.
Optional account and washroom map
An account is optional. The finder, city guides and Washroom Map work without signing in. Google sign-in is required only for the private My Washroom Trail.
While signed in, choosing “I used it” or opening a location in Google Maps saves that stop to the private Trail. Find Washroom does not save the route travelled or live location history. Technical processor and security details are documented on the Privacy page.
Limits and privacy
Find Washroom is not a live occupancy or availability service. Coordinates can be approximate, and a correct listing can still be closed when you arrive. Treat each result as a source-backed lead and confirm critical hours or accessibility before relying on it.
Precise browser location is used on the device for distance sorting and is not stored by Find Washroom. Google Maps, advertising, map-tile and delivery providers may still receive normal request data such as IP address, browser or device information under their own policies; the Privacy page identifies those services.
